Root Canal X-Ray & Diagnosis
No responsible dentist opens a tooth without an image. A digital intraoral X-ray (IOPA) shows how deep the decay runs, whether the infection has reached the bone at the root tip, how many canals the tooth has and whether an existing root canal has failed — all in seconds, on screen, with a fraction of the radiation of old film.

Common questions
Root Canal X-Ray & Diagnosis — your questions answered
Is a dental X-ray safe?
A digital IOPA delivers a very small dose — comparable to a few hours of ordinary background radiation. A lead apron and thyroid collar are used every time.
Can I be X-rayed while pregnant?
Tell us first. Non-urgent imaging is deferred; if urgent, shielding makes it safe with your physician's clearance.
