Porcelain Veneers

A veneer is a wafer-thin ceramic facing bonded to the front of a tooth. Because only a fraction of a millimetre of enamel is prepared, it corrects shape, shade, chips and small gaps at once while keeping the tooth largely intact — and modern lithium disilicate ceramic carries the same translucency as natural enamel, so it never reads as false.

Step by step

How the treatment works

  1. 1

    Smile analysis

Photographs, shade mapping and a discussion of exactly what you want changed.

  2. 2

    Digital mock-up

A preview is placed on your own teeth so you can approve the shape before treatment.

  3. 3

    Preparation

Conservative reduction, a precise scan, and natural-looking temporaries to wear meanwhile.

  4. 4

    Bonding

Veneers tried in with paste, approved by you, then bonded, cured and polished.

Common questions

Porcelain Veneers — your questions answered

Do veneers look fake?

Only badly planned ones do — too bright, too flat, all the same length. We map the shape to your face and lip line and layer the translucency so they read as your own teeth.

Veneers or braces?

If the teeth are healthy and just misaligned, braces or aligners are the more conservative answer. Veneers are for shape and colour problems, or when time is genuinely limited.
